Kathy Mazzaferro earned a diploma in executive secretarial studies from Berkeley College in White Plains, New York, as well as an Associates of Arts – Summa Cum Laude from Lone Star College System and a certificate in Real Estate from Blinn College. Before moving from Long Island, New York, to Texas in 2004, she worked as a legal assistant for over 20 years in the areas of real estate, estate planning, probate, and corporate law. Kathy joined the staff of The Ellison Firm in July of 2008 and is the legal assistant to Amy Clough and Sarah Brieden.
Ronda Hall has been a legal secretary since 1978 in the estate planning and probate field, with 13 of those years spent at Liddell, Sapp, Zivley, Hill & LaBoon in Houston (now known as Locke Lord LLP). She received her Associate’s degree in Applied Science (Computer Network Administration) and graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Blinn College in December 2002. Ronda joined The Ellison Firm in February of 2009 and is the legal assistant for Jeff Harris.
Sherie Dickson has been a legal assistant since 1986 dealing primarily with real estate, banking and corporate law. She began her career with C. H. Donegan, Jr., P.C. in Seguin, Texas while attending Texas Lutheran University. She transferred to Texas A&M University in January 1989 and worked for Thornton, Payne, Watson & Miller, P.C. from June 1990 to June 1998, at which time she worked for William S. Thornton, Sr. out of her home while caring for her two young daughters. In 2005, she began working for Syptak, Murphy & Brown, LLP and has worked with Gerry M. Brown since that time. She joined The Ellison Firm in April 2014 and continues to be the legal assistant for Gerry M. Brown.
Sydney Everett graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Sydney joined The Ellison Firm in September of 2016 as the firm’s Business Manager. She is involved at Brazos Fellowship in College Station.
Tedi Ellison joined The Ellison Firm in August of 1999 to manage the law firm. Prior to joining the firm, she worked with athletics at Texas A&M for 15 years, as Director of Athletic Compliance from 1990-1999 and as an Athletic Academic Counselor from 1984-1989. Tedi graduated from the University of Nebraska with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce in 2008-2009, and also serves on other community boards, councils, and committees. In 2011 Tedi was named B/CS Chamber Volunteer of the Year, in 2012 Tedi was inducted into the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Hall of Honor, and in 2013 Tedi was named a Jefferson Award Recipient for outstanding public service.
